When a couple has been together and they know they want to spend the rest of their lives with one another, the question-popper has to figure out how exactly the proposal will be done. This can be a traditional or non-traditional technique, or it can even be an event in itself. Read below to see some different ways creative, and successful, proposals have been made.
Step 1: It’s not a good idea for you to propose the same way a good friend did, because the person being asked might want you to come up with something original. You could look up information on proposals to find something really creative, and you will wow your sweetie with sentiment.
Step 2: Are you a couple that love to travel? Take your honey to cities like New York, San Francisco, Paris or Las Vegas and pop the question in a spot with a beautiful view of the city. Bring a camera so you can have someone take a picture of the two of you after the question has been asked and, well, answered.
Step 3: If your ring left you with a tight budget, go out to dinner to a Chinese restaurant and propose using a fortune cookie asking her to marry you. You can get this done in advance because some jewelry stores have these sorts of cookies, or the restaurant might even be able to help you.
Step 4: Gather rose petals and find your way into her house or office without her knowing. Arrange the petals to read, “marry me” on her bed, floor or some flat place in the room.
Step 5: For a more non-traditional method, go camping to a beautiful spot. At bedtime, complain about a rock under you and then pull out the ring to propose.
Step 6: In today’s high-technology society, computers can even be used. Create a Web page asking your future fiancee to marry you. Make sure you are present when she receives your email to open the page and sees your question.
Step 7: Wanting to make an event of your proposal? If she wakes up to a clock radio, set up an announcement on her station at a time you know she will be listening, when she wakes up. Make sure you are at her door when the announcement goes off, or better yet, be there next to her, so you can see her smiling face at that moment.
Tips
- Get a foolproof plan. For the steps using the email and clock radio, you have to make absolutely sure you are present at the moment because what is the point of a proposal if you can’t be there in person to see her reaction?
