There are times when you may need to know how to turn McAfee off temporarily in order to access certain things being blocked. This is an easy process, so don’t fret.
Step 1
Go to “Start”, then select “All Programs”.
Step 2
From the program list, select “McAfee”.
Step 3
Select “McAfee Security Center”.
Step 4
Choose “VirusScan”.
Step 5
Disable “VirusScan”.
