How to Make Candie Baskets

Ok, I admit — I’m an arts and crafts junkie! So when gift giving time comes around, I’m all about putting together thoughtful (and cost efficient) presents. If you’re not exactly the “artsy” type but like the idea of this, one of the easiest things you can learn is how to make candy baskets and arrangements. These are fun and make great gifts, because let’s face it — everyone loves candy!

There are many things that you can use for making candy arrangements, such as wicker baskets, styrofoam balls, gift bags, or even flowerpots. You can also pick up some cellophane sheets, candy, wood sticks, wire, balloons, and cardboard.

The key with making candie baskets is to be creative and have fun with it. There are no rules and anything goes!

One of my favorite candy baskets is also the quickest and easiest to make. For it, you’ll need:

  • A small balloon on a stick
  • A small giftbag
  • Assorted candybars
  • Ribbon
  • A bow

Simply arrange the candybars in the bag (standing end over end so the tops stick out of the bag). Then, slide the balloon in behind the candy and top it off with a ribbon or bow. This makes a great gift that will certainly cheer someone up, and it costs less than $10 to put together!
