There are warning signs that your laptop computer can be working at an abnormal temperature, such as slow performance, frequent reboots and slow working speeds. But how do we find the temperature to make sure it is where it should be?  Follow this method to keep your notebook in prime condition.

Step 1: Find the application that reports the computer’s temperature. It is installed on the laptop. If you do not have one, you can find free applications that are easy to use. They often have provisions to set thermal zones and also keep logs of the computer’s temperatures.

Step 2: If you do not already have the software for finding laptop temperature, find it by doing Internet searches and download it to computer so that you can keep up to date with your computer’s temperature to make sure it is right.

Step 3: If you want to go a step further, you can build an apparatus for measuring laptop temperatures by building a probe that can connect directly to the laptop using temperature sensors and a probe.  You will need to connect the terminals of the probe to the sensor, and use insulation tape with the terminals.

Step 4: Once you are properly connected, plug the apparatus into the USB port or jack of the laptop and you will be ready for temperature-measuring.

Step 5: Once the desired temperature is reached, use it as a monitor for laptop temperature to keep your computer at the desired level.
