Have you reached your limit of WAD Files, or virtual console games, on your Nintendo Wii? There is a way to delete games virtual console games if there are others you would rather spend time playing.  You may have many different reasons for wanting to get rid of certain files, but simply are not sure how. By using the following steps, learn how to uninstall those unwanted files.

Step 1 - Download WAD Uninstaller

Find the WAD Uninstaller and download it. Then, rename the .elf file to boot.elf and put that, in addition to all the virtual console games you wish to get rid of, in the WAD folder.

Step 2 - Boot Uninstaller

Using Twilight Princess Exploit, boot the uninstaller and reset your Wii.

Step 3 - Reset Wii

Allow the Wii to reset.  The unwanted games should no longer be there.

Tips

  • The WAD folder you will place the files into is found in a root directory on your SD card.
  • Always check with the users manual before utilizing a new process on the Wii that you are not familiar with. It’s also a good idea to check with a friend or colleague who is more knowledgeable of the program.
